Llanelli AFC were comprehensively beaten 3-0 by Afan Lido at USW Sports Park on Friday. The defeat extends their winless streak in the FAW Championship South to 11 matches this season, a run comprising zero wins and two draws.

L. Griffiths opened the scoring for the visitors after just seven minutes. He had a chance to double the lead from the penalty spot seven minutes later but missed. Afan Lido did find a second goal through A. Giardelli in the 32nd minute, and J. De Meyer added a third ten minutes into the second half to seal the result.

The loss leaves Llanelli AFC rooted to 16th place in the league table with only two points from their opening 11 fixtures. They have now conceded 33 goals this campaign while scoring just nine, giving them a goal difference of minus 24. Their recent form shows five consecutive defeats, including heavy losses to Caerau (Ely) and Ynyshir Albions. This sequence of losses, which began with a 3-0 defeat to Caerau (Ely) on 11 September, also includes a 6-0 reverse against the same opponent on 16 October and a 6-2 loss at Ynyshir Albions on 10 October.

With the team 19 points adrift of leaders Swansea University, the focus must shift quickly to their next challenge. They travel to face second-placed Pontypridd Town on Friday, 30 October. The club's record of zero wins, two draws, and nine losses from 11 games shows the scale of the task ahead in that fixture.
