Llanelli AFC are searching for their first victory of the season when they host Baglan Dragons at Stebonheath Park this Friday evening. The club sits 16th in the FAW Championship with just two points from their opening nine matches, having lost their last four games in a row.
Their most recent outing was a 2-0 away defeat to Llantwit Major last Saturday. Alex Roscrow scored twice in the first half, in the 27th and 31st minutes, to seal the result. That followed a 3-0 loss at Caerau (Ely) earlier in September, where Tom Parker, Dafydd Griffiths and Jamal Bahumaid found the net.
Recent struggles
The team's form shows one draw and four losses from their last five fixtures. They drew 2-2 with Carmarthen Town at home in late August but have since conceded 11 goals without scoring in defeats to Aberystwyth Town, Treowen Stars, Caerau (Ely) and Llantwit Major. With six goals scored and 25 conceded this campaign, tightening up at the back will be a priority.
Friday's visitors, Baglan Dragons, are positioned 7th in the table, presenting another tough challenge. The match kicks off at 18:30 UTC.
